Want to balance the budget? Here's a place to start. Cut the Veterans Administration budget for disability welfare payments by 50 percent. Stop paying all that welfare money to a bunch who don't deserve it.

Makes sense to me as long as they don't cut the benefits for those of us who have worked very hard for over 35 years. If they cut social programs, let them cut the programs that allow able-bodied people to live on government resources. The drain the resources--without contributing a dime. Enough.

to *** And how long did you serve in the military? Were you in combat? How did that work for you? Did you apply for disability? How long did the process take for you? Took ten years for my father. WWII, fought in 4 major battles, awarded 2 Purple hearts. Took ten years and he was in a wheelchair. Oh yes, he was fighting for YOUR freedom too.

20 years, 8 months, 3 days. Yes, in Vietnam. Worked ok. No. Not applicable. Who cares. So what? Stick your drama queen bull$hit up your @ss.

Cutting the VA budget CAN be done. Far too much of the money is being handed to those who don't deserve a dime.

Another way to cut the deficit - stop all VA DIC payments immediately. There is no reason to continue paying any benefit after the veteran dies.
