They don't want to work. All they want is a free welfare check every month for sitting on their fat asse$.

Vet in need

We do need an extension of the VRAP, but not for 3 months but about another year or two. Some of us started college late, I started in Aug, when the bill became active in Mar. If I knew about the VRAP the year before I would of started college in Jan of 2013 instead of Aug. I could of gotten a full of it to help me. Also I'm paying out of state tuition so the extension for 3 months will also help. But another year would help out even more. Please do what you can to extended it. And don't listen to that other guy, who thinks all well do is sit around and collect a check. The way it works is we need to attend college and verify our enrollment. Also we need to get financial aid first. But people like the guy who made that comment don't know this. I have gotten very good grades my first time in college. I'm proud of what I have accomplished so far. Thank you for helping us Vets.

If I had a good quality career / job, I wouldn't need to go to school in order to get retrained. Finding a job is hard and almost impossible in this economy. Welfare is only $200 a month. Not even enough for hotels to sleep in. Rummaging through trash cans and dumpsters is not enough to survive on. We need VRAP to stop gap the cracks that homeless and unemployed veterans fall into. Need desperately for this bill to pass so I don't remain unemployed or become unemployable.

I hope that the bill is approved for extension too. I started the program late also. I didn't find out about it until Jun 2013. I'm not sure why they decided to cut the funds off in the middle of the semester instead of going to June in the first place. We are required to attend full time and normally that means day hours which makes it hard to work a full time job. So, if funds are cut in Apr. we are out of income Apr-Jun. while still being required to attend full time until the semester ends. I finished the fall semester of 2013 with a 4.0 grade point average. There are those of us that take this opportunity very seriously. I think the majority does if you ask me. At the very least we need to have the VRAP extended to the end of the semester.

I am in my last semester to get my AAS. I have run out of time and no financial support for the rest of the semester with the VRAP ending. The initial time given to complete was too short by at least three months for those who started as soon as they could.

To whom it may concern: I respectfully request that you approve this bill (HR562) I started college, I am in my second semester and taking as many credits as I can, to graduate and become eligible to work in the medical field. We thank you all for the support you have given us Veterans. Please don't allow us to be sitting at home unemployed with some college credits; without our diplomas. Please consider at least to maintain the benefits to those of us that are already dreaming and almost touching our bright new future.
