I am in support of this bill because it intends to increase the penalties for knowing an intentional violations relating to food that is mishandled or adulterated. My reason for support is because going to restaurants or having someone else handle what's going in our bodies has become a norm. Not as many people live on farms and raise their own food anymore and because of that the risk for food borne illnesses has increased significantly. I don't know about other people but I do not want to unknowingly anger a fast food worker then next thing I know his spit is a new condiment on my burger. This law would ensure that if this were to happen the criminal would be prosecuted to some extent as opposed to a warning in his employee file that may not deter them from doing it again.
