CFL mercury bulbs kill families. Stick to Thomas Edison's original invention or switch to kerosene lamps.

Gov. mandates seldom work out.

In this case the flur. bulbs do not last near as long as claimed. The first ones available were made somewhere in Europe and the USA and would last years. Now all are made in China & at least 1 out of 3 will burn out in less than 6 months. There go the $ savings. Also there goes the mercury saving.

Coal fired electric plants are the

largest cause of environmental mercury in the US. If the mercury bulbs lasted the theoretical 5 years there is approximately 6mg less mercury put in the environment over the lifetime of the bulb. But they don't last nearly 5 years anymore so at best it's a wash. Another example of government bureaucrats at work totaly un-encumbered by the thought process. (legally, if you drop & break a mercury bulb you are supposed to call out a Has-Mat crew to clean it up)

Governments should only concern themselves with keeping this country & its people safe and keeping the economy running. They should not be Micromanaging our Lives.

Instead of DICTATING what kind of light bulb I use { just who do these people think they are} they should be INFORCING all the Anti-monopoly LAWS, Insider Trading Laws, UPHOLDING The Constitution & The Bill of Rights, and above all - Stop EXEMPTING THEMSELVES from the LAWS WE THE PEOPLE are to live under.

They are NOT our Masters nor our Lords but everyone of them sure are acting like it. They are playing a sick game of roulete with our lives as each bulb is Filled with DEADLY MERCURY DUST, how many bulbs have you busted up to now? You think you're never gonna drop another? Really?? How about your kids or coworkers?

Trey should all be charged with treason & Crimes Against Humanity.

Sen. Bob Menendez / two hookers say he rip them off for sex

November 3, 2012, 1:22pm (report abuse)

New Jersey GOP state Sen. Joe Kyrillos is demanding Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez release his schedule and all travel documents from this spring. Kyrillos’ demand is in response to allegations from two Dominican Republic women who claim Menendez paid them for sex around Easter time this year at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000-acre resort in the Dominican Republic.

The two women claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, but in the end they each received only $100.
