Really doesn't matter if this passes ot not. There will not be an increase this year because the CPI is below last year's level.

Minimum wage is being increased by approximately 10% for workers who have given taxpayers nothing. Why not give disabled vets a 10% increase for giving taxpayers their health?

I can't understand why the disabled vets keep getting the shaft. I agree that minimum wage did go up. What is a disabled vet or for that matter a serviving spouse to do when the cola does not go up? Why should pe so willing to sacrifice when the money end does not work out if you become disabled?

Got a problem, take a pill says obama. getting depressed or upset, then take a "its for the greater good" pill. why be a drag on society. the rally cry is not "give aid and comfort to patriot vets", but "the disabled, aged and unworthy should take a pill for the greater good". if you don't like the masters policy then you are one of those that need a pill, for the greater good. nazism is so easy to do if you just try to understand it in todays terms. the people have spoken, they want to live in an obamanation not in a righteous nation that our fathers and forefathers fought and died for.

Maybe we need to stop our kids and grand kids from going into war, because they said they would take care of us old Vets Now look we can't work overtime for more money now can we, but its OK for us to go out and beg for money I'm 100% disabled and I don't like to fight anymore but I would be glad to if it would help us all get what is coming to us I feel like the Gov Helps those who will put money back into there pockets thats why we never get a fare shake I'm ready for a big raise and catch me up with the rest of the world, if you know what I mean. I'm tired of holding my head down and I'm sick of all the greed in washington Just give us what we really deserve and better hospitials and doctors I'm tired of the second hand doctors and nurses that make me feel like I'm below them. Sorry if I upset anyone I just feel like nobody cares anymore and I think its time for that bronze marker if things keep getting worse 942 characters

It's about time to give our DAVs a larger than normal cost of living raise. Why not 25% across the board as recomended by the blue ribbon panel. These vets gave us our freedom, lets get behind them and help...

Texas Disabled Veteran
We serve our country to preserve freedom and protect our country from enemies threatening our way of life.
Those that we protect and those elected to represent us are they truly serving America’s? Stimulus package “cash for clunkers” it helped deplete the car inventory for whom? It should have been specifically targeted to America owned Companies, Ford, Chrysler, GM and models truly manufactured in the continent of the United States. This would have been a true stimulus for our economy. We need true representation, not broad politically correct global verbiage that sounds good.
Concerned for our Future and Debt for follow on Generations
Proud to Serve!

2010 Compensation & Pension Rate Information
VA compensation and pension benefits cost of living allowance (COLA) is paid based on the Social Security Administration (SSA) COLA. Compensation COLA by statue may not be more than the SSA COLA and pension COLA is equal to the SSA COLA. This year SSA did not increase COLA. VA will be providing letters to beneficiaries informing them that there will be no COLA for 2010.
