As a senior citizen who is trying, with his wife, to get by on Social Security, I do not think Congressmen and women should get a COLA if we do not. They have large salaries, expense accounts and other perks while we have to make do with so much less.

I think the people should vote as to whether they get a raise or not. I cannot just vote myself a raise at my job. I have a supervisor that decides whether I get a raise or not. So "We the People" should decide whether any politican deserves a raise and vote accordingly

I think that our beloved government officials should draw minimum wages. Their pay would reduced or raised quarterly but the current unemplyment rate. Term limits would apply.

I cannot for the world of me see how you can say no COLA for senior citizen because of no or low inflation and congress give themselves a pay raise.

I question the morality and compassion of anyone voting themselves pay raises "under the table". This is why there should be no riders on legislation period.

I think there should be a "citizen oversight review committee" to have hearings each year and have the same advantage of interviewing members of congress on why and how they feel they can do what they please with their phony pork bills that are never read but always voted on. The could be a program sponsored by C-Span without any political party or media influence.

Congressional pay raises should be a matter of public referendum.

Why eleven (11) bills put in the hopper since January with the same objective and no action? Maybe they don't want to give up their COLA.
