I do not want another Comercial property vvacated and foreclosed on in our area. Everytime we get "fire sale" properties the only buyer we have migrates to that property. This the balance of the market stays depressed. The property taxes do not get paid and then when the new person does they are at a discount to what was being paid. Thanks for caring to read this.

$250 Million of Tarp money to close GM dealers is a poor use of governement money. Raise unemployent and credit delinquencies? put more people on welfare and SSI and unemployment benefits? This is Crazy! WHO'S IDEA WAS THIS?

I work at a Chrysler dealership that has been selling Chrysler products since the early 1930's. With 789 dealers terminated (who cost Chrysler "0"), thousands will be out of work & tax revenue lost. Taxpayers bailed out Chrysler & GM so they could in turn put thousands across the country out of work. THIS BILL MUST PASS! Dealers have been loyal sellers of these products & have invested so much only to have everything taken away with no thought to the consequences. Some of the top dealers (sales & service) were among those terminated. Jim Press lied at the hearings about the criteria used for termination. Please support this bill to help save thousands of jobs & give the "little guys" a voice!

The move by the Obama administration makes no sense and was hastily rushed through to give the impression that they were responding to a economic house ablaze.
Yes, we have an economic fire, but in this case the fire engine ran over thousands of pedestrians and wasted billions of dollars.
The 800 dealers employed an average of 40 people resulting in 32,000 jobs lost and impacting an average of 50 related businesses meaning over 1,600,000 economic units have suffered.
The usual response is that we must move on, but no more of that nonsense; in this case there are countless people along the road and injured from the fire engines haste to put out the fire. Maybe it's time for Congress to go back and pick up the survivors before it's too late

The dealership we have dealt w/ for 20 years has been family-owned for 70 years w/ the founding father actually playing a major role in GM's existence before they decided to start 2 independently owned franchises that are completely self-reliant. GM relys on them to purchase their cars. They are one of the most reliable, service oriented and profitable dealerships in this market. Now they will have to lay off 100's of employees & add to the downturn of our economy. I have to wonder if my Suburban will still be serviced
w/ the quality and honesty that came from their dealership and if I still have my "TIRES FOR LIFE" guarantee w/ whatever "Government run" Dealership that Obama and his "Team of Automotive experts" come up with. Please support this bill and help save all those family-dealerships and employees and dont penalize all the independant franchises that did not rely on G.M.! NO DOUBT, this whole decision will benefit the Unions. Sad situation for our economy and our future!

We Don't need more people unemployed, more children unfed, more homeless people. what is this government thinking of? more people unemployed does not help our economy and spirit. More foreclosed homes give me a break and the 100 people plus not just 100 people but spouses children dreams up in smoke.......

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!! LET THE MARKET PLACE DECIDE! IF GM MADE GREAT CARS AND TRUCKS(IN THE PUBLIC'S EYE NOT THEIRS) THEY WOULD NOT BE BANKRUPT! LETS SEE , THE MANAGEMENT THAT BANKRUPT THE COMPANY IS TELLING DEALERS THEY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO SELL PRODUCT THAT NOBODY SEEMS TO WANT! I'M SURE CUTTING THE DEALER BODY WILL SOLVE THE QUALITY AND CUSTOMER PERCEPTION PROBLEM DON'T YOU! NOW PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO TRAVEL FURTHER AND PAY MORE FOR GM PRODUCTS THAT THEY DON'T WANT IN THE FIRST PLACE! WOW GM MANAGEMENT REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!! I'M SO ENCOURAGED BY THEIR COMMAND OF THE PROBLEM! HOPEFULLY ENGINEERING WILL BE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO KEEP THEM RUNNING!

Worked at Chrysler dealers since 1975. Like the idea behind bill, but as a fixed operations manager I am not sure life with Chrysler again would be possible. I don't believe "our" government will tolerate it. Life without Chrysler hasn't been all bad. At least compensate the owners to seed their nest business enterprise.

Let capitalism run its course.

Let consumers choose which companies they want to give their money to and let the poorly managed companies fail as a result.

The dealers didn't fail. The companies failed them.

The main reason the companies have declared "bankruptcy" was so that they could IGNORE all state franchise laws and get rid of dealers to appease the Obama "task force". It is SO wrong and unAmerican. This bill needs to be passed!

Chrysler went backrupt...the dealers didn't!!! This is so sad to leave thousands of dealers penniless overnight because of poor management and lies by the corporation! Support this bill and give the dealers back their franchises, so they can at least sell them. As of now, they were just GIVEN to the dealer down the street. Shameful!!!

imagine receiving a letter that your business is shut down...your income is gone...the inventory you have, office equipment, etc. is left for you to sell for pennies on the $$$. then you find out that they are opening another dealer to replace you...this is political and part of the "change"....look out insurance companies..you are next.

This bill like its following bill is discriminatory. It only applies to government owned companies.

It must go.

Replace it with a non-discrininatory bill.
