I would like to see it extended for at least 6 more months. My brother is a homebuilder and this incentive has really helped keep his business going. Also would be an advantage to me in that I am building a home a will probably not be finished until after 11/30

I also would like to have the credit extended. We have been waiting for the Rural Development Home Loan approval and they are so far behind that we will miss out on the credit this year. We are very frustrated that the government is saying here is $8000, but you'll have to wait until this agency gets through the paperwork.

I really hope that they extend the tax credit. I know three people alone who would take advantage of it, including myself.

It would be if they extended the credit, we've been looking but so far no luck. Time is running short and at this pace,I dont think we'll get the credit that's due to expire at the end of Nov.

I hope they extend the credit. I'm looking for a home to buy now but can't seem to find the right one. Hopefully it will turn up and hopefully, I will be able to take advantage of this great opportunity.

I was so looking forward to purchasing my first home in the City of Chicago. I've been looking for a while now and can not seem to find the perfect home for my family. I didn't want to buy just anything in order to take advantage of the much needed credit. Please, please, please...extend the credit until Dec 2010. There are so many people out her like me who are so close to being homeowners. I know my plans had been to use that credit to purchase new appliances. But even if I found my home tomorrow, it would never close in time to be eligible for the credit. Please...extend until Dec 2010. Thank you

A look at today's drop in new homes sales and also prices across the nation proves the housing recovery is stalled if not dead in the water--just like my 32 yr real estate sales career. More waves of foreclosures are coming. This needs to not only be extended at least a year..but expanded. No discrimination please-- that one marital partner can't have owned..many are in 2nd (or more) marriages nowdays! Reasonable income limits..but do we really need 300k per couple? How about income or home price limits based per state/county as FHA does. The wealthy investor cash buyers here are buying and flipping the foreclosure auction and also MLS (listed) Bank owned homes here--taking those opportunites away from the first timers. Cash is king and blowing out of the water young buyers needing loans to purchase. Could any legislation address that? Seems like the old adage "he who has the gold rules"..still applies-we are seeing the same old housing speculation-like that which got us here.

I just recently purchased a home in june of 2009. I have previously owned a home in the last 3 years for a period of only 1.5 years. WIll i qualify for this home buyers tax credit? I sure hope so.
