April 15, 2009, 2:10am (report abuse)Please pass this bill. We have been paying our mortgage on one of these properties with much difficulty, but still we are doing it. We have owned this property since 1987 and in 2004 they said that the original survey was wrong. Here we are 5 years later and still no resolution. Please help!

June 1, 2009, 4:09pm (report abuse)I strongly support this bill!
Over 30 years after the property was originally developed, an updated survey has revealed that the land residents bought and improved may actually be federal property.
My fellow hard-working, average Americans purchased this land in good faith only now to have become victims of an inaccurate survey. This is an injustice that our government can easily correct!
In the big scheme of things, this is not a huge issue to most people. After all it is only 7 acres. But to the families directly affected, this is devastating. These good Americans purchased the property in good faith, and for over three decades have been great neighbors to our National Forest.
If we can bail out the likes of AIG and GM, we can certainly do what is necessary to make our fellow Americans whole again.
Please do all that is necessary to get this bill passed and signed into law!
