This bill is _not_ essential for the protection of our children. It is perpetuating fear mongering. For valid unbiased information regarding sexual offenses please view the following Human Rights Watch website:

I agree with a comment John Walsh made recently on a television interview. Let's get rid of the Sex Offender Registry that now has 650,000 names and focus on the 10,000 "violent" sex offenders and monitor them.

The 650,000 includes any offense from urinating in public, streaking, teens consentual sex in a dating relationship, and many other "hands-off" situations. Monitor the ones that have committed "hands-on" offenses.

Also, its really ease to catch the people on the internet who view pornography (which in many cases lead to viewing child porn)but, lets go after the people who produce the tapes and pictures. That's the greater challenge.
